finder-info-bar in minimal-window-look

since i couldn't easily describe this issue in words,
i also didn't manage to make-up a better tittle for this topic,
nor did i succeed in looking for previous posts about the subject.
so i'll illustrate the following story with some pictures ...

what i mean with minimal-window-look is something like this:

withinfo.png

a very minimal window with some info about the current folders' content.
i do sometimes switch between this and the metal look for having the favorits-bar,
but i usually prefer this style.

but then, when i 'minimize' the look of a metal window,
by clicking the right-most button in the titlebar, this is the result:

withoutinfo.png

it's even more minimal, the info-bar is gone!

this is weird behaviour of the Finder i can't really see a pattern in.
i usually prefer the minimal look, but then with the info-bar.

does anyone know to explain this behaviour?
and could anyone tell me how to get the minimal-look WITH infobar?

thanks

What you define as the 'info-bar', is the 'Status Bar'.

View 'Finder's 'View' menu, and note the 'Show Status Bar' or 'Hide Status Bar' menu item.

-----

Clicking on a windows' right most title bar button should display / remove a windows' 'Toolbar' and 'Sidebar' together. Again, view 'Finders' 'View' menu, and note the 'Show Toolbar' / 'Hide Toolbar' menu item.

WOW!

it's that simple?
great! thanks for the tip!

i think the reason why i overlooked this, is the fact that it doesn't have a keyboard shortcut.

usually i tend to avoid the mouse if possible...dunno why
and i've never had a reason to check-out the Finders' menu-items ...

but maybe i'm starting to become a kind of command-line weirdo,
since i'm using my local machine mostly for remote stuff lately :)

thanks again!
