i need a fairly good easy to use firewall. I have tried both norton and brick house. i cant for the life of me figure out how to block IP's all ports. any ideas on a better firewall. I am not Unix savy yet so GUI please

What didn't you like about BrickHouse? By the way, BrickHouse is just a GUI for the OS X integrated firewall, it is not in itself a firewall like Norton Personal Firewall is.

Depending on what network setup you have, you could consider getting a hardware firewall (i.e., a router). I've got an SMC Barricade which has a very nice web-based interface, so I can not only manage it from my LAN but also from a specified IP address on the WAN. It shares my ADSL to four computers (but I'm going to get a hub soon because the network in my house is rather larger than more residences).

If you've got more than one computer in your home or office and want to use the combined facilities of a LAN and shared high speed internet, think about a router...
