I've got an iBook/500 with one FireWire port, and connected to that with a daisy chain, I have a FireWire HD and a FireWire CD-RW drive. When I try to burn a file from the FireWire HD to the FireWire CD-RW, the transfer rates are extremely slow, and the CD can not burn very fast, and I am assuming this is because of the daisy chain. If I purchased a FireWire hub to split my iBook's FireWire port into several, would this possibly alleviate my problem? I'm stumped.
