Ok here I am again asking my switcher questions.
Please can someone explain the firmware situation where macs are concerned..
Having looked on Apples website there is lots of Firmware avalbale for different components.
However I have noticed that when people have installation issues they are often advised to upgrade "the" Firmware as in firmware number 1.1.4. or 1.1.7 etc etc.
Is this refering to a general firmware upgrade avalibe for each type of machine???
Is there a page where all of these Firmware updates are avalible?
If upgrading firmware before a fresh install,how do you do it? burn it to CD or does the mac search and update over a network??
Exactly what is this Firmware upgrading??
I have sussed that holding down command-option-o-f will take you to a firmware screen,do you upgrade from here?
Any advise will be appreiciated from someone due to be sent on a Mac course soon.
