I copied some files to my iBook, put it to sleep, and came to work. Opened the cover, and nothing - no display at all. Couldn't ssh in as the network was wrong.
Had to do the CTRL+COMMAND+POWER thing. Shame, as I was going for some serious uptime
But that is ok... I mean, think about it. "First Crash of the Year". How cool it that. In OS9, I would be happy for you if the title was first crash of the week.
Yeah, I suppose you're right. Just a little annoying to have a full crash, and then have to run fsck 5 times, then have to reboot, then have to repair the entourage database etc etc.
BTW, I had an 8200 print/file server running 8.6 under my desk for over 3 months without having to reboot it. Not many people believe me, but I swear, it's true.
