Flash MX Help *blonde Moment*

For a long while, i've stuck with Flash 5, merely because i knew where everything was, and i knew that MX, differed a little, and would only slow me up! But now, after getting my iBook, i use MX on both my PC and iBook, and so its kinda integral i use MX, not 5 (Classic :rolleyes: )

ANYHOW

the thing i am not understanding here, is

i want to link to a file, outside the movie i am making with a button. When i create the button, in the properties box, there's no url box, nor _target entry selector?! If i create text, the 2 items i mentioned are in the properties box, and i CAN link to external files! Whats the deal here?! with Flash 5, it was quite simplistic, maybe i am just missing something?!

:confused: ... i am assuming i am being totally blonde, and the fact its quite late, and that i have a stinking cold don't help, but PLEASE, Drop me a line here, Or i am gonna have to move back 2 Flash 5, Cus its Buggin Me Stupid!!

Make sure you have your button selected on the stage. I know it sounds dumb but whenever i have troubles it's because i think i have one thing selected and flash is thinking of another.

Yea, i checked tha, maybe it was that, i dunno! Anyhow, do we have any Flash Enthusiasts here?! ... i have a Question regarding Streaming internally a track! See, i set the audio to 'stream' in the settings, but its hard 2 see what its doing, i am on 'a relatively fast connection', but i need 2 make sure the track streams! I Don't want to put a pre-loader on the file, because thats the whole point of streaming! ...if anyone can help, i'd appreciate that!

I'm on 56k for a few more days if you want me to check it. Also if you hit apple + enter to test the move it plays at your speed, and then hit apple + enter again it plays at a supposed 56k speed. Will that help?

You're a TOP MAN! ... Wow, i'd never see the Bandwidth Stuff, thats Awesome, i won't forget that!! :D
Sweet! thanks man! ... it seems to work ok now! encoded @ 32Kb, it should be good to go over 56K Dialups! :D
