Fonts showing funny in Safari and Mail.

The fonts show all huge and whatnot like in the picture below.

Running:

Snow Leopard 10.6.2

The font is neither weird nor huge. It is displaying as intended. You installed it. If you don't like it, then it is your prerogative to disable or remove the font.

HINT: Launch Font Book.

You can use the Font Book to identify the font.

Oh, for Pete's sake. You know what the offending font looks like. Go through your fonts until you find a font that looks like your offending font. Disable it.

Disable 50 % of the fonts you installed. Log off your user, log back in. Does it show properly now? If so, the offending fonts are within the other 50 %, otherwise they are within that 50 % you have enabled.
Next, enable or disable other 50 % of the remaining ones, log off and log in. Rinse and repeat until most are enabled, and no problem with your fonts seems to happen.

Over 1000 fonts? Generally, not a good idea.
