I have to 2 documents in Word for Mac (.docx) that I set a Password to open and they will not open- it's killing me -they are important documents that I really need.
I have apparently forgotten the passwords or I entered them incorrectly when I set them up- and now they won't work-
I can not open these documents and I'm desperate.
Surely this problem happens with some degree of frequency.
Word does not make it clear enough to the user that when you put the password protection on the document there is absolutely no way to get into it again if you lose your password.
Please tell me there is something, ANYTHING I can do to resolve this problem.
Like can Word see that I am the User and Author of the document who set the password so that maybe I can get into the document some other way???
Please help - there is tons of "supposed" password recovery software out there but I'm overwhelmed by it all and have my doubts whether they would really even work. They all seem to be for Windows anyway.
thanks!?!?
