formac studio & final cut pro

I was just thinking. I have an analog camcorder
(Sony to be exact) and have purchased the formac
studio which works flawlessly to acquire my
data into DV format (using iMovie).
I was just wondering whether
final cut pro recognizes formac studio? i dont
want to lay out the cash if it doesnt work.

ps: if u havent noticed... im a board newbie as well as a
mac newbie. i was once swayed by wintel/M$ but I have
become a new convert

I can't tell if it still works with FCP 3, but it did with FCP 2 and the Formac Studio, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn work with FCP 3, and, I don't think iMovie could do something FCP can't
