Forms, Java and netscape crashes

Hello,

I'm a french web developper (so my english may be a bit strange), and I have trouble with netscape 7 (mozilla 1.x) under macos X. Everthing run right under windows with the same browser.

When filling some textfield in a form, netscape crashes (application quits) without any obvious reason.
This problem seems to happen when a java applet is displayed within the page, but I cannot confirm this.

I have to use netscape/mozilla, since it is the only MacOS X browser available that support liveconnect.

Is anyone aware of this issue and know any solution/workaround ?

I don't know much about java, but what version of OS X are you running? 10.0, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3? Run software update and make sure you are all up to date.
 
Do you have a link to something making your browser crash? I use Netscape 7 (in OS 9, however) to browse this site (too slow in IE), and I wonder if it'll make my browser quit as well.
