I really love the look, feel and flexibility of vBulletin, but it's just too expensive for my use (a class discussion board in a small private school).
phpBB is very flexible in appearance, but it is difficult to attach images, attachments and the like. (Maybe I missed something, but I can't have all the kids (12 year-olds) ftping to the server and then linking to the uploaded file.)
I like the power of fudForum, but the admin is a royal PIA and the support is rude and unhelpful (Illya is in serious need of an opalectomy

Does anyone have a suggestion of a free (or at least cheap) forum package that combines flexibility and power. (images and attachments are the big thing, being able to close sections from unregistered users is a must.)
