Free Program to burn DVDs to my iPod Video?

What free program can i use to burn my DVDs to my iPod? I have the new intel 20" iMac. or what paid (cheep as possible) program can i use? ... i have Parallels on my Mac so if I can do it for free on a PC i'd be willing to install the program there too.

any ideas?
 
Use FFMpeg to rip the DVD to Quicktime format and then iSquint to convert for the iPod. FFmpeg will convert straight to iPod format, but I have got better results doing it this way. Both programs are free and can be found using a google search.
 
thanks both of you, im trying Instant Handbrake, its about 40% done with bruning a DVD, I am trying out the DVD RENT. I'll tell you how it goes. THANKS SO MUCH
 
So i got it on my computer as .mp4 and it works, but how do i get it into itunes and onto my ipod?

NVM: Just drag it into the iPod from the desktop or movie folder :)
 
no drag it into Itunes into the library folder, it will import to itunes, then make a new playlist and add it to your ipod
