Freeware to record from external sources

Hi guys

I have a Powerbook G4 12". Does anyone know of any freeware that will enable me to record from external sources such as radio? where can I download this software?

But do you mean from radio streaming?, i remember i found something for do this on versiontracker...

yeh, what I'd like to do is to be able to connect the output from my amplifier to powerbook, so that I can record off my radio as either wav or mp3.
