Freeze at startup

After zapping the P-RAM om my Powerbook G4 DVI it wont start anymore. I just get the apple to show up in the begining, then nothing happends.. no loadingcircle, no nothing..

although, when i restart holding down ALT, I can choose system and then, its starts... I dont wanna do this all the time though..

anyone has any idea on what to do? :confused:
 
I got an idea: Go to System Preferences -> Startup Disk and pick the desired volume/option. Then restart and hopefully you won't need to hold the ALT (option) key anymore.
