over the weekend my ibook g4 has gone from locking out once started, to having problems completing the start-up sequence and now every time i try to start it all i get is a very dimly lit (seems to be from the bottom only) dark screen. i was working at an outdoor festival under cover of a small tent, but am worried it may have got wet at some point, tho this is not apparently obvious.
i have tried to run sytems analysis, but it locked out, ive been unable to check the HD via fire wire on another mac as ive been away and i cant seem to do a hardware test or reboot with original panther disk as i can even get that to work.
im not overly computer literate and am quitre poor at the moment, so am hoping the problem is fixable as i cant afford a new or second hand replacement. I have had a quick look on the internet on trouble shooting pages and am wondering if i have HD problems and maybe need to replace it or my motherboard has died.
