Hi everyone
im having loads of grief with my dual 1.8 g5.
i have reformatted the machine but everytime i try to go online the machine locks up. sometimes it will let me surf about for a few minutes and then crash, and other times it wil crsh as soon as i open safari. it also crashed out from ichat. I have tried 2 different modems, both of which work fine with my emac thats sitting right next to the g5!
i have read that this could be a ram issue but the machine appears to be working fine when im using other applications.
has anyone else had this problem or can anybody help me out? im stressing big time...............

Download my app MacHelpMate (see link below) and perform all cleaning then reboot and see if that helps.

thanks for that, i tried it but no luck, it just keeps locking. it really does seem to be fine doing anything but going onto the net....its really strange, i have never seen this before.
Im worrying about hardware problems if its not ram......should i try to install 10.3 to see if it does the same thing?

It's possible that one of your ISPs DNS Servers is down. Try changing the order of the servers or use a different DNS Server. Network DNS timeouts can cause what appears to be a "freeze"
