from iMac 400 to Powerbook G4 550 for US$700

The opportunity has arisen form me to be able get my hands on a second hand powerbook (gigabit ethernet + combo drive) for a meer NZD$3000 (approx USD $1500) I rekon I could sell my iMac 400DV for around 1750->2000.

Do you think it is worth getting the powerbook?

Are there any problems anyone has had with this model?

I read in another post that the screen hinges fail sometimes - how much of a probem is this?


Finally a simple yes or no, what would you do?

I would go for the Powerbook, but to think that you can get up to $1000 USD for your iMac is pretty optimistic. Assuming that you aren't selling it with a printer or anything, just the iMac with the keyboard and mouse, the going price on eBay is less than $500 USD.
Just a thought...
