FruityLoops/VPC compatability

Okay, so I'm not sure how valid this question is on this forum, but I have a relatively new 12" PowerBook G4 (512 RAM, 80 gig hd, pretty much stock options). I have a copy of Virtual PC running Windows 2000 Professional, and I have the FruityLoops program running inside the virtual machine (this sound a little like a description of nesting dolls...)
SO! my problem is, that my VPC runs smoothly, and there are no glitches, but when I try to start up FruityLoops, the computer does absolutely nothing. It doesn't even run processing cycles like it's trying to start up the program; the VPC just idles.
When I try to ctrl+alt+del to get the sys menu, FruityLoops doesn't even show up on my list of running processes, and then, out of the blue, an error will pop up stating that FruityLoops has performed and illegal action or something like that, and asks for my permission to shut it down. I have tried rebooting the machine, reinstalling FruityLoops, etc, and still nothing productive has come out of my trial and error.

I got Virtual PC in order to run some of my old music making programs, but now it looks like i won't be able to. hopefully somebody here can help me out? or at least let me know that it will not work, so i have some closure to the situation.

Thank you in advance,
Lex

Whenever you ask for help with software, you need to give the version number. Since FruityLoops also accesses peripherals, you need to list any hardware accessed by this app.
