I have a situation on Xserve 10.3.8
We have several FTP Share folders created on our Xserve at
/Volumes/Storage/Shares/FTPs/name (in my example - chris).
Problem:
When I make a connection via a Mac at:
afp://server.name.com
I can connect to the Volume folder I wish to mount. No problems.
But, on a PC running WindowsXP I.E. computer
when I connect via:
ftp://chris@server.domain.com
I get in the PC window pane: (after user and password dialogue boxes).
chris
ftp-stephen
(chris and ftp-stephen are both folders
but I only want the chris (folder) and not ftp-stephen (folder).
What is maddening is that the ftp-stephen folder
is inside of every one of my other ftp folders and I don't know why and
inside of ftp-stephen folder is a file called Group.zip and inside
that is a file called Group.jpg and I can't see these files on the
Xserve (at path to folder) nor can I see this file when I use the command line ls -al path to ftp-folder name.
(below are, not familiar to me icons, included in the small window pane on a PC and the properties simply identify each one as a "file")
