hello -- i have a couple of problems that i can't seem to find a solutions to -- i have a machine set up here as ftp server -- only a couple of user that are limited through ftpchroot -- in 10.2.3, however, my setup no longer works. here are the symptoms:
1. when i don't use ftpchroot and disable the built-in firewall, ftp works without a glitch
2. when i use an ftpchroot file, i get the following error when trying to connect from another machine:
"can't change root.
sleeping..."
and i can't get in
3. when i activate the firewall, i can connect to my server, log in, but canNOT get a listing, even with passive mode --
If anybody has any idea what's going wrong here, i would be very happy. i'm a bit puzzled since i was able to do ftp with ftpchroot and firewall before 10.2.3
thanks --
