G MDD Power Supply Exchange Program

Hi,

I purchased a new-to-me G4 MDD Dual. Lovely but noisy. Some research turned up the Power Supply Exchange Program offered by Apple in 2003. I did find an old thread on it here at macos, but it was dated. I could find find nothing on the Apple site about it now other than the instructions for how to do the install.

So ... is that program still out there? If not, what's my best option at this point.

I'll be using this in a studio so sound is a big deal. I figure that I'll be putting the G4 in an sound-insulated box of some kind but Apple's solution seems like a good thing to do if I can get my hands on it.

All you need is to buy a new ATX Power Supply from places like compusa or your home town computer store. What you want to get is one that has 300+ Witts or more. Just as long you don't have one that has a BTX Power Supply.
