G3 OS problem

Hi, I am using G3 mac. I am using OS X 10.1 version and OS 9.

Now i choose to run OS 9 but i am not able to open OS X 10.1. Laptop automatically run OS 9 during booting and after that nothing shown on screen. a smaall logo in the middle of screen and that also do not work. Now i want to come back to OS X 10.1 but is not coming. is their any method to solve this problem.

Hi,

You'd need to go into the Controls Panels and launch Startup Items. In there, you can select whether to boot from the OS 9 System Folder or the OS X System folder. You should also be able to select which one to boot to by holding down Option when you hear the startup chime.
 
On older systems, holding down the x-key should also directly boot into OS X. This all won't work, though, if you accidentally hosed the OS X system from within OS 9 (entirely possible if they both utilize the same harddrive volume.
