I just received (Wednesday) my new G4 867 and am please as punch with it. However, while copying a Video CD from theSuperdrive to the external Firewire Recorder using Toast V5.12, I got an error twice (I forget the number) and had to abort the burns. I then used the external drive as the read drive and the Superdrive as the burn drive, and all my burns (10 in all) went through flawlessly. My only problem is that the Superdrive burned at 8X while the external LaCie burns at 16X. Has anyone had this experience before? Is there a conflict between the Superdrive and the external drive, maybe a demand of the OS?
While this is not a big problem, I would really like to know what is causing this. Any comments would be appreciated.
