G4 ibook freezing

Hi. My G4 ibook keeps freezing. It will do this at various points, even during the start up sometimes. It generally doesn't last more than 10-15 minutes before it freezes. When it freezes I can still move the curser but am unable to click on anything. I have not loaded any new software but did start using wireless broadband (via a bt homehub) around the time that this started happening. BT have assured me it is nothing to do with the hub as I did not load any software onto the machine in order to access it. I have gone through the process of repairing permissions and also doing a fsck and this has not solved the problem (I repeated fsck until it told me that that was no problem). The other issue is that my cd drive is broken so I am unable to load any cd's if I need to use one to help solve the problem. The computer was purchased April 2005 and the Operating system is OS X version 10.3.9. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Emma

'I ... did start using wireless broadband (via a bt homehub) around the time that this' ... 'G4 ibook keeps freezing' ... 'started happening. BT have assured me it is nothing to do with the hub as I did not load any software onto the machine in order to access it.' - BT is most likely correct.

Turn OFF the wireless connection, on the PowerBook.
Turn OFF the PowerBook, wait a minute, turn ON the PowerBook.
Use the PowerBook (without a wireless connection).

Any PowerBook problems?

Connect the PowerBook to the BT Home Hub via an Ethernet cable.

Any PowerBook and / or internet connection problems?

Disconnect the Ethernet cable (from both the PowerBook and BT Home Hub), and turn ON the wireless connection.
