I just moved, and when I reconnected my G4 running OS X to my flat panel AOC monitor, I initially see the Apple logo, then the screen goes gray. If I turn the monitor off and then back on, I can see that the desktop is there as it should be, but almost immediately the screen goes gray again. I tried a safe boot, and saw safe book on the screen during the second the screen was visible, then it blanked out again. I tried turning off the screen and holding down Command/Alt/P/R as suggested on the Apple website, but this did not help.
The web site suggested that this may be caused by improper resolution, but I have not changed it. Any suggestions on what I can do to get my screen back?
Thanks,
Lyn
