G4 Video Cards

I have an older MAC that was G4 450MHZ AGP system. I recently upgrading the CPU to a 1ghz and added a PCI ATI 9200 128mb Video Card. My question is, I was wondering if MACs can have two video cards (PCI + AGP or 2 PCI) on board running at the same time? If so, will having both on improve my video rendering to play games?

Also, are there any Video Cards out there that I could purchase to install in my G4 with at least 256MB either Nvidia or ATI to allow me to game better?

Thank you

Sounds like what you're describing is something like SLI. Unless the cards support SLI configurations, they won't work in that way. Also, as far as I know, Macs still do not have support for SLI (or CrossFire if talking about ATI cards).

You can, however, install two or more video cards and use them in a multi-head configuration. This has been the case in Macs since the Macintosh II, if I'm not mistaken. Works great for graphic design and other applications.

Also, be aware that your particular Power Mac G4's AGP slot will only support AGP cards that are 3.3 volts. Most later-generation AGP cards that are 4x or 8x are 1.5 volts and will not work.
