Compusa has iLife for $125.00. Whats up with that?

if they wanna sell iLife for $125 who cares?its their problem! the point is that its not available yet. just as its not available yet from Apple

they're an authorized apple reseller so in essence, it is apple's problem. it could just be a mistake though. amazon does it all the time.

I seem to remember CompUSA selling Mac OS X for $1,290. As I recall it had a system requirement of a Pentium 3 or higher.

This latest ad is not surprising.

That must be what I was thinking of, but it is way before I knew of macosx.com so I never saw that thread before... cool that there are screen shots of it.

I didn't remember the price being so far off though, I was giving them the benefit of just being off by a factor of 10. The real thing is way better!

The price listed on the CompUSA site for iLife is not real. For some reason, they use the estimated release date as the price on things that haven't officially been released yet, hence $125.03 for January 25th, 2003. They did the same thing with Jaguar last year, although I don't know why they listed it as Windows-compatible.

i dont know about that, i doubt they thought jaguar would be going for over 82,000 dollars....

Yeah, maybe if you are from the south of the US. Here in NY they sound very different.
