Hey guys. I just about going to get Quick Time Pro when I wanted to ask. When I buy this off Apple's site does in come on a CD or do I just download it. I'm asking because I wanted to install it on more then one Mac.

Actually all you do is enter the code they give you into QT 6 and wallah! QT Pro magically appears!

I think you may have to quit quicktime then re-start. But yea, if you have quicktime you have quicktime pro. Just enter the serial number to unlock the other features.

Hey again guys. I'm trying to make a personalized movie by taking scenes from 1 or more movies and adding them together. No big deal, pretty easy job but I can't seem to do it.

Once I have the movie I want to copy some things from I go to edit but ALL of my options are faded out. What's the deal?

Ok. I'll use two movies in my example.

Open movie 1 and 2. Then highlight all of movie 2 in the timeline area. This is done by holding down shift and moving the black triangle. Once it has all be highlighted, copy it. Then go to movie 1, move to the end of the movie and hit paste.

WaLa Does that help?

I'm afraid not. Even after doing that word to word and looking up quick Time help for the 5th time the option to copy is faded out. I can't do it.

Oops. No option to copy? Then your movie is copy protected or something. If so then open your movie and go to file, export. Then choose movie to QT movie. Look in the 'options' area to make sure the size is the same and save it out. Then you should be able to copy and paste.

Ok how can I tell if the size is the same?

Edit: Just a fast up date. I openeda new Quick Time window, then click import and selected a movie and was able to copy and past but the picture quality was bad.

When you export the file to Quicktime Movie you can hit the options button. In there there is quality, size and filter options. Set them to what you want your output to be.
