Getting Rid of itunes music folder for good

is it possible to get rid of the itunes folder for good in mac os x panther as i have another folder which contains all my music.

Just go into prefs, advanced and select your new music folder location.

But your iTunes library info will continue to be saved in that folder, so don't throw it away.
