GMAP IMAP and Apple Mail 3.0 Not Playing Nice

I recently installed Leopard (like every other fanboy) and recently got IMAP access to my primary email account on Gmail. Originally, they worked well together, Mail downloading everything which I had in my Gmail account (2+ GB of data), but after about a day, Mail wouldn't retrieve any new data from Gmail. I have 2 other accounts setup though Mail (using IMAP), neither which had any issues.

I am wondering if anyone else has tried this configuration and had similar issues?
