Go 'Canes!

Barking at the moon.
I hate freaking Miami as much as the next guy, but I DISPISE Nebraska. I really don't care if a Big Red win would throw the BCS off, I just want freaking Nebraska and those corn-husking biatches to go home crying.

yea, this is jerk #1 vs. jerk #2!!! i think both teams are consistently over rated, but i think miami is more over rated than nebraska. so i will be pulling for a close game with nebraska on top at the end and a split decision in the polls. the only team i hate more than either of these 2 is penn state. i like joe pa, but i hate penn state. i would also put notre dame and fsu up there with the canes and huskers.

if only the vols had won the sec!!! :(

on the other hand there has never been a year before when ohio state and tennessee beat michigan:D

yea, what a waste of time. i went back to my mac after 3 qtrs.
so how come your go 'canes worked so well and my go vols flopped? i want some of your magic dust:p

Hate 'em. Go on you know you want to. I don't care. They are the #1 team in the nation and they should of played for the championship last year. Ahh, the sweet smell of revenge. Just goes to show how retarded the BCS is and how you will never get the respect of the BCS unless you play int the Big 10, SEC, or are coached by a big fat redneck named Bowden. (or unless you are blessed by the Catholic Church. Ooops, I may burn for that one.)

Oh, and "crotch"(Crouch) really did not deserve the Heisman. If he put those numbers up at any other school, he would never have won the trophy. The better QB won last night, just look at the stats.

Any ways, GO CANES!!!!

Yeah, the BCS does suck. My PAC-10 has once again been shafted and I'm sure it will happen again next year. What I would really like to see Miami now get stomped by Oregon and Joey Harrington .. then we would actually know who the best team is. But oh well, such is life.

I also agree that Crouch shouldn't have gotten the Heisman. What a freaking loser. I liked the half-time stats where he threw for a whopping 22 yards and ran for like 37. Hahaha....

hey we found another one!! Actually the comment about who gets respect puzzles me some. Miami always gets way too much respect for beating teams that couldn't beat a good highschool team. whereas the sec, big ten and pac 10 all hinder their chances of getting a national title by being such tough conferences it is almost impossible to win the bcs. of course my vols did win the first bcs championship!!! still tougher conferences deserve more respect because of the higher level of competition. hey, i've been a huge wac fan (and now mountain west) for years, but i would never contend that any of their teams deserve a national championship for going undefeated!!

personally i feel that all the bcs proved this year is that 2 over rated teams can get to play each other.

btw - what about spurrier resigning at florida?? guess he just couldn't take getting beat by the vols in the swamp!!(ha ha):D

Go Huskies? Oh yeah Miami beat them also.

Overated? Weak Conference?
BC, Pitt, and Syracuse all won their bowl games. Virginia Tech loss to FSU in their Bowl game.

That is a total of 6 out of 11 teams that Miami beat in the regular season.(and only BC kept the game close) That's 4 Big East bowl wins. The SEC also had four bowl wins, two smacked the Big 12 around. (Wait, did Georgia win a bowl game? I can't remember. If they did then that would be five for the SEC)

Miami was shunned by the BCS last year. I mean, do you really think FSU had a stronger schedule and deserved to play in the Championship game, even after being whupped by Miami in tge regular season? Miami was shunned by the BCS at the begining of the year this year because they did not run the score up. Hell, the BCS almost dropped them out of the number 1 spot when they beat BC in favor of Nebraska. The BCS is a joke. The BCS has not had one year without controversy. Do you really think Nebraska should have been playing in that game? Oregon was #2 in the AP and the Coaches poll, yet the BCS had them ranked 4th. Then the number 2 and 3 teams were embarrassed. By the way, Miami beat the dog $%#@ out of Florida last year.

Maybe that is why Spurrier quit. Florida starts playing Miami every year in 2004.:p

well, bringing in FSU as an argument is not going to score any points. they are even more consistently over rated than the 'canes. best thing about the vols championship was that it was against FSU in the fiesta bowl!!

no georgia lost, either to syracuse or BC i think. that one pissed me off.
actually i will concede that the big east and the acc are getting to be stronger conferences - but this is because of years of being over rated. now they are able to do the kind of recruiting that brings the talent to live up to the hype. but this is really a good thing. despite my trash talking, i like seeing more parity in any sports. it makes it more fun and less predictable. i just hate that i am going to have to put up with clothing and sports stores across the nation carrying 'canes merchandise for the next five years while i have to phone order to ohio and tennessee for my gear. its like the dallas cowboys!! :D

right now i'm hoping my lady vols will stand tuff with uconn tomorrow!! (being cautious here)

You think you have it bad.

I've lived in Alabama for the last 10 years. The only stuff in the sports stores around here are Alabama and Auburn.(I hate Alabama) There is some Tennessee stuff, but that is because we live so close to the border. I could not find a single Miami item, and they are the champs!

Oh well.:) I guess I'll have to order my Miami merchandise over the net also.
