Why not get Gimp itself? It is a nice graphics program. It has a lot more drawing tools than Seashore does. Granted, it does need X11, but that is not hard to install and the ability to use additional tools that require it is worth it.you might want to have a look at GraphicConverter which is a very good image editing tool, and Seashore which is based on GIMP and is free.
Seashore looks like crap. Go with GraphicConverter.
