Gray restart screen

Hey at school a week or two ago all of a sudden a gray message box apperead and said plz restart your computer by holding the power button on the side for 5 seconds aan this was written in like 5 laguages below.

so what caused this and does it mean anything bad?

Ahh that sounds like a kernal panic to me. Tis the equivelient of a BSOD. It means that one of the core routines in the OS went haywire.
