Hey, I heard you're getting a mac? or you have it?

I'm in the same situation. i use my PC all day. I am in school (2 years left!) mypowerbook is coming this friday by the latest!

What mac are ya getting? Or do you have?

will be getting 15 inch powerbook in january.
1. because i wont have the money till then
2. theres a chance of an upgrade announcment at macworld SF

thats been around for a while. its very well done and considering he is a mac user his comparisons are quite fair.

xp is a good os but its still made by microsoft. they just don't get it and never have. I feel the only sw of real value they have ever made is office and word in particular. every version of windows ever is just a bad copy of mac os. its quite sad really.

as far as hardware goes the pc world offers a lot. once I get to know the bsd in osx better I would like to get an x86 box and run bsd. x86 bsd with a fluxbox window manager is pretty awesome.

I'm getting a 12 inch powerbook, with 512 ram, 60GB hd, wireless, 1.33 Ghz processor, COmbo drive, Bluetooth, and the thigns a midget!!
Anyhow, two interesting articles...

yeah, im not expecting the g5, but possibly a 100mhz or so bost, possibly more base ram, stuff like that.
