I have a problem similar to one that was posted by GITS in March, 2008. I have a MacBook Pro with Parallels installed. I was trying to update parallels as every time I started Parallels it indicated that there was an update available. The update would not work. I can tell you that everything seems to be running fine on my machine. As I tried to figure out the problem I was looking for other issues when I noticed that my hard disk was not visible in the Startup Disks menu. Only Network Startup was visible. I also had installed Bootcamp when I first got this machine thinking I would need it. Parallels took the place of that so at some point I tried to delete Bootcamp. Now I think that I just deleted part of it.
My goals are as follow:
Delete the remainder of Bootcamp
Get my hard disk visible in the Startup Disk
Update Parallels
Can I do all of these tasks without having to reinstall the system?
Thank you,
Scott
