I am on 10.4.11 and, as you already know have a big issue with my hard drive. First I tell you how it happened. I wanted to unpartition my hard drive, I had three partitions one for linux, one for osX and a FAT inbetween. But I don't use my linux, because mac is good enough
. So I bought iPartition and destroyed the linux, and made the mac HD big enough for all my data. Then I rebooted my computer and everything went fine. But during the data transfert, Finder crashed, I finally forced the computer to shut down. But when i rebooted it the data disk did not appear and there was several other problems.
I have done a fsck -fy from the single mode, it found some errors but did not change anything for my problem.
iPartition does not want to modify any of my partitions now (it says that another program use it but i lauch it from a dvd). It nevertheless sees my DATA partition.
DiskWarrior does not detect any hardware problem (but I haven't lauched it from a CD yet to check the directory but I think the problem is not there).
My macbook still works, it boots on one partition, but this partition is not detected by the system when I try to install something.
I have no idea what to try now, could you help me, I haven't found any info on any forum (perhaps I have not used the right words, in this case my apologizes).

- The system profiles crashes when i try to access to the info concerning the ATA.
- It is not possible to access the drives (even the mac HD, on which i boot) while installing a program (for instance applejack)
- the command "diskutil list" crashes
