HD capacity issue

A couple of months ago I asked a question about whether any IDE HD will work in a G4 PowerMac. Since the answer was affirmative I bought a 250 G HD from Seagate. Turns out that a single processor G4 will only recognize up to 128 G. According to Seagate there is no way to bypass this without buying a PCI controller. Can anyone confirm that?

Also, if so, then what is a good PCI controller that I should consider buying?

Thanks,

Curtis

i say get this one. i got one for my ppc7500 a while back, becasue i wantedide hd and usb too. then i got a g4 tower, i found out that it doesn't have enouph ports on it, so i put the card it it. and with os x, the usb on the card become usb 2.0 ports! if you are going to take up a slot anyway, spend the little extra, and you'll never regret it when you need that extra usb port.
