HD icon behind bars

Should I be concerned when there are horizontal black bars encaging my HD icon? What does this mean??

I get it too... every once in awhile..

Log out and back in.. should fix it... temporarily...

I am not sure if it can be fixed permanetely, without a little help from Jaguar...

I often get it on other icons as well... not just the hard drive....

Although, it has gotten better in 10.1.5...

Can someone post a screenshot? I've heard about this, here and elsewhere, and wonder what it looks like exactly. Thanks.
