Headless notes in Garageband '08

Quite simply, in the staff view of GB '08, the notes have no heads. Just, well, stalks. Makes the whole feature, which I rely on, useless!

Any ideas?
 
Have you checked to see if Apple has made available a patch for it through Software Update? If so to no avail, send feedback to Apple about it. I'm not using GB '08 just yet but I haven't seen anything like that happen with my version (GB 2.02)
