Bought Altec headphones to use with SKYPE and recognized by both OSX and SKYPE. When first used - perfect in a word. Now the OSX Sound Prefs read the input way OFF the scale to right so mic doesn't work. Used ohmeter to see if lines cut on mic and they are ok and confirmed on a PC. SKYPE sound prefs are also set correctly.The headset has Hi and Lo & mute impedence settings but makes no difference.
Have been forced to used internal mic on my iMac as a result.
Any clues for me?
