Help Airport and Dell xp

I have a dell laptop running on XP and we have a g5 laptop, both using the airport as the wireless provider. I am on the wireless network but cannont connect to the internet. Our Mac connects fine, I've talked to Dell support, no help they want me to reinstall my operating system. I have no other wireless issues at other locations whether secure or not. I belive this is an issue with the airport and my dell not speaking to eachother or whatever... Please can you give me any suggestions?
 
Try this.

FYI, there is no such thing as a "G5" laptop, Powerbooks and iBooks are G4, Macbooks are intel. iMacs and Powermacs are G5 (the latest ones, anyways).
 
Thanks.. yea I'm not the mac owner so I'm sure I got it all wrong. Just know it's the powerful laptop. :)
