help!! firewire on original imac...?

ok, so until I can get my dirty little mits on the new 17" powerbook, I've switched onto my wife's original (purple if you must know) imac. The only real problem I have with this computer is that it doesn't have any firewire ports.

Does anyone know if I can purchase a firewire card/expansion and if I can even add it onto this old imac?

Are you sure it doesn't have a Firewire port? If it's slot loading iMac, it should have at least one.

no slot loading - it's got the tray that pops out.
I've checked a couple of times for firewire, but there's only modem, lan, couple usb, and I think that was basically it...

I'll check out the Harmoni thing - thanks a bunch!
