help! I replaced my desktop folder...

I created a webpage in iPhoto. I selected desktop as the destination. It prompted me that the users/desktop directory was taken. Like a moron, I said ok anyway so it replaced my desktop (which of course held several key project folders) with my webpage folder.

I now have only my wepbage folder on my desktop.

Anyway to recover???

Are you saying you replaced the folder named "Desktop" with another folder named "Desktop" or a file named "Desktop"? In either case the original Desktop folder and its contents are gone. Yes, you certainly don't want to do that again.
