help! I think Ive melted my G4...

The night before last, instead of turning my G4 off and unplugging it, I put into sleep mode.

We have been having problems with our kitchen recently, so the landlord came over with an "electrician" to sort it all out... I got a phone call yesterday saying that the "electrician" had fused all the circuits in the flat - not just 1 trip, but ALL of them, so nothing had electricity.

I was advised to bring candles home with me after work, which, is what I did. Opened the door, and tried the lights - wehey! they worked, the "electrician" must have sorted it out...
Everything was jolly until I tried the G4 - nothing, I push the power button and the light turns on, but fades away as soon as I release my finger.... oh no! has that power cut fried my computer? is there a switch somewhere inside that will fix the problem??? HELP!!! :( :(

That happened to me. It turned out to be the power supply, I had it replaced.

You can also try resetting the PMU. For inormation on how to do that on your particular model, check in Apple Support Pages.

Had this happen with my G4 desktop. There is a small button on the left corner nearest to you if you open thie side. I pressed this and machine has been fine ever since.
