Help Power Book Purchase Decision

:) Looking for help before I purchase a new Power Book G4. I am thinking about the 12 with the combo drive. Any suggestions or concerns will be appreciated.
 
Go for it. Buy it with as little memory, and purchase more memory from another vendor as it is typically cheaper.
 
Also, look at the refurb models on the apple store site. They tend to be well discounted and in perfect condition.

IF you buy it e.g. at www.jandr.com or www.macmall.com, many of these things give you extra ram for free. (When I got mine, macmall gave 512 mb more ram "free" but they had an obligatory installation free of 150 $ for it, which is .. funny as it takes less than 5 minutes to install, and a 512 mb ram was about 100-120 $.. jandr gave 256 mb extra free; ask in a few places to see which is the best .. or jsut get it from the apple store :) )
