Here's the setup...
I have attached 2 x 250gb firewire HD's to an old graphite 400mhz G3 iMac, which I am going to use (pretty much) exclusively as a backup system. I am using Retrospect to backup from two other OSx G4's onto one of the 250gb drives (across a network), and using Backup Toolkit to mirror this onto the other drive.
OS9 recognizes the 250gb firwire drives ok, but retrospect hangs when the backup starts. It says the the disk is busy.
I thought that this might be a problem with the way the drives have been formatted (Journaled HFS+), but I am unable to re-initalize the drives to Mac standard in OS9 (apparently they are unsupported).
Can anyone shed some light on this problem, and help me find a way to backup successfully?
Thanks
