Help weith hd and g4

I have a seagate hd i installed in my g4 400mhz. It has a 10gig witch is working good and i wanna add the seagate hd just to put my mp3 and movies on it. I wanna use the seagate hd for osx only. I connected it but it doesnt work. What do i do to get it working it doesnt show up on my desktop or anything.
 
did you install drivers for it? check the site to see if it is compatible with your computer. Also, try it in OS 9
 
You probably haven't set the jumper pins on the HDs that tell each HD whether it's a master or a slave drive.

You can have only one master HD on an ATA bus and (I think) only one slave drive.

You should go to the manufacturers' websites and try to find the jumper settings for the HDs that you have.
