Okay, every time I try to send mail in Mail it grinds away and then I get this:

Error

This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.

A few messages with small attachments are still in the outbox, but other sends result in this message, yet the mail that generates the error ends up being sent. All of this happened after upgrading to 10.2.2, but given all the probelms with Mail and Apple's .mac servers, who the heck knows what is up any more?

What kind of mail server are you connecting to?

For instance:

Behind my company's firewall, I have to enter the IP address for the mail server. But outside of the company's firewall, I have to enter the name of the mail server. Very odd, but my company uses W2000 for all of their servers and do not care if My little mac has problems with their mail server.

Anyways, I digress...

So what are you trying to connect to?

I'll see if I can help.
SA:)

I'm at home and using .Mac for mail so I am connecting to Apple's servers. The problem seems to have cleared up on its own, so I am chalking it up to .Mac. They have had many issues with their servers and blame it on vendor equipment (servers I guess) they are in the process of replacing. I and others on this stie have had many down times with .Mac servers, but this was a slightly different error than I experienced at other times. Hopefully Apple will clear this up (if it really is the fault of the unnamed vendor of their old servers).

Any way, thanks for being there for me!
