Help with 802.1x EAP-TLS

I'm totally new to macs and trying to get a mac (10.3.8) to connect to my windows network. EAP-TLS requires certs which is where my problem is. I'm looking for a good resource to walk me through the whole cert thing for the mac (especially geared towards wireless access). The apple site is pretty limited (it only says that the mac supports eap-tls) and I haven't had any luck finding any other good resources.

Well, you'd be issuing certs using openssl (included in OS X). So, do a search for "openssl certificate authority" and you should have lots of reading matter.
