Help with Mac Os X Mail

I dont know if this is in the right place, so if its not please inform me on the correct place to put this.

On Mac Os X there is an Email server and I want to use that instead of having to use Yahoo or anything like that, but for some reason it wont work for me. If you dont know what im talking about, the Icon is a picture of a stamp with an eagel on it. Can someone help
 
The app you're describing is Mail.app, it is just an email client and not a server. Are you looking for just a client to check your mail or an actual POP/SMTP server?

If the former, please describe what you mean but "not working".
 
Sounds like you're referring to the Mail program. If this is what you want to use to check your mail, then you have to setup the Preferences for your account.
 
Yeah, its the MAIL program.

I set up my account and this message pops up saying, my password has been rejected, and keeps coming up.
 
What password are you trying to use? It'll be the password for your email from your ISP or whoever delivers your email.
